The Krasnodar Territory investigating bodies of the Russia’s Investigative Committee have charged a 26-year-old resident of the city of Anapa with a crime under part 3 of article 30, part 4 of article 159 of the RF Penal Code (attempted fraud on a very large scale).

According to investigators, representing himself an assistant to a judge of the Krasnodar Territory Court, informed the wife of a man, whose case was heard in the court, that he was able to achieve more lenient sentence and smaller term in prison for her husband. For that he demanded 3 million rubles. But he was not an assistant to any judge and was not able to influence the court decision. The woman reported him to the territorial directorate of the Russia’s Investigative Committee. On 10 September 2014, while receiving 3 million rubles from the woman the accused was detained by the officers of the territorial office of the Federal Security Service.

The accused has been placed in custody pending the trial. Necessary investigative operations are underway to find out all the circumstances of the crime. The investigation is ongoing.
