Chuvash Republic staff of Russia’s Investigative Committee laid flowers at Monument to Military Glory in Cheboksary Victory Park on the eve of Victory Day

The Victory Day is a sacred date, which will forever remain a symbol of heroism and courage of our people. It fills our hearts with a sense of boundless pride for the motherland, for our people, who defeated fascism in fierce battles.

On the eve of the great holiday employees of the Chuvash Republic Investigations Directorate of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation visited war veterans and home front workers who had worked at the investigating authorities in various years, congratulated them on the upcoming holiday and presented them with gifts.

On May 7, 2014, together with veterans of the Great Patriotic War, employees of the Investigations Directorate visited the Monument to Military Glory in the Victory Park in the city of Cheboksary, where they commemorated the fallen during the Great Patriotic War and laid flowers and a wreath at the Eternal Flame. Veterans spoke to the public and told about the trials they had faced during the war, and about the formation of the investigating bodies in the Chuvash Republic in the difficult postwar years. The Head of the Chuvash Republic Investigations Directorate of the Investigative Committee Alexander Migushov noted that the feat of the Fatherland defenders and home front workers became a supreme moral compass for all generations of Russians.

At the end of the event, the management and staff and guests were photographed to remember that day.
