A court has recognized the evidence gathered by Ivanovo Region investigating bodies of the Russia’s Investigative Committee sufficient to convict a 42-year-old local man. He was found guilty of 119 crimes under paragraph “c” of part 3 of article 132, paragraph “b” of part 4 of article 132, parts 2 and 3 of article 135 of the RF Penal Code (sexual abuse, lecherous actions).

The court and investigators have revealed that in late 2012, the man committed lecherous actions against a 9-year-old boy using VKontakte social network.

The preliminary investigation found 118 more counts of crimes. It was revealed that the man had started committing sexual crimes against minors in late 90s and early 2000s. Both boys and girls became his victims, many of whom have come of age since.

The hard evidence of felonies was obtained during the preliminary investigation.

The court has sentenced the man to 19 years to be served in a maximum-security penal colony.
