At night of 25 October 2015, a fire started in a house in the village of Shirokaya, Gazimursky Zabod District, trans-Baikal Territory. After the fire had been put out, 5 dead bodies were found. The Trans-Baikal Territory investigating bodies of the Russia’s Investigative Committee have opened an investigation in crime under paragraph “a” of part 2 of article 105 of the RF Penal Code (murder of two or more people).

The investigators have examined the scene. A fire technical expert examination has been assigned. The bodies of three women and two men have been identified. They were sent for forensic inquiries. Residents of the neighboring houses are being questioned, witnesses of the incident are being identified. The investigators are also questioning a 17-year-old teenager who might be involved in the crime.

At present, investigative operations are continued to find out all the circumstances of the crime.
