Check into death of boy of dog bites launched in Stavropol Territory

On 23 October a dead body of a two-year-old boy with multiple traces of animal bites at the neck and stomach was found in the yard of a private household.

The Stavropol Territory investigating bodies of the Russia’s Investigative Committee are carrying out a pre-investigative check to find out all the circumstances of what happened.

According to preliminary data, while the boy was sleeping, his mother left the house for a short time to pick her elder daughter up from school. At that period the boy woke up and went outside, where two pit bull terriers kept in the yard attacked him. When the woman got home, she found the body.

A procedural decision will be made following the check.
