Probe launched in Bashkortostan in attempted murder

In the morning of 29 October 2015, the police got a report from Salavat town hospital that 7 men had been admitted with wounds. The Bashkortostan investigating bodies of the Russia’s Investigative Committee have launched a criminal investigation in a crime under part 3 of article 30, paragraphs “a” and “g” of part 2 of article 105 of the RF Penal Code (attempted murder).

According to invetigators, at night of 29 October 2015, 7 residents of the town of Salavat aged between 22 and 48 had a conflict with unidentified men near a café, during which one of the unidentified men shot at one of the victims. One of the victims took away a traumatic pistol and later gave it to the police. Sometime later the victims were shot by unidentified people from a traumatic pistol while they were in a service center. They were taken to hospital with different wounds.

At present investigative and search operations are underway to find out what exactly happened and the motives for the crime and identify a person or people involved in the crime. The investigation is ongoing.
