In Leningrad Region, investigators find more crimes committed by man charged with sexual abuse of his wards

The Leningrad Region Office of the Investigative Committee continues the investigation against a man charged with a crime under Part 4, item “b” of Article 132 of the RF Penal Code (sexual abuse of a person under 14 years of age).

As became known earlier in 2010 the man lived in a single-family house in Vsevolzhsk District, Leningrad Region with an 8-year-old boy he had adopted based on the decision of a guardianship authority of one of municipalities of Saint Petersburg. It has been revealed that aware that the boy was too small and helpless the man repeatedly sexually abused him.

At the moment investigators have enough evidence that the man has committed more similar crimes, and therefore decision has been made to open against Tomashevich five more cases over sexual abuse of all 5 children he was guardian to and who lived with him in Vsevolzhsk District, Leningrad Region.

The cases have been joined to form a single lawsuit while the accused is in custody. The investigation is ongoing.
