In St. Petersburg, man found guilty of hooliganism and death threat to ambulance driver

A court has recognized the evidence collected by the Saint Petersburg Office of the Investigative Committee sufficient to convict 45-year-old local resident who is CEO of OOO Interfoodlogic, a limited liability company Samir Seidov. He was found guilty of a death threat under Part 1 of Article 119 and hooliganism under Part 1, item “a” of Article 213 of the RF Penal Code.

The court and investigators have revealed that on the afternoon of 17 January 2017, the accused in his Mercedes near No 1 in Mikhailovsky street had a road conflict and used a knife to threaten the driver of an ambulance. The court ruled to take him in custody pending trial.

It was following an order from the Chairman of the Investigative Committee that the case opened by the police was taken over by the Saint Petersburg Office of the Investigative Committee which conducted all necessary investigative operations in the shortest time and collected enough evidence.

The man has been handed a 2-year suspended sentence.
