The Leningrad Regional Investigations Directorate of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation continues the investigation into the rape of a 13-year-old girl under Paragraph B of Part 4 of Article 131 of the Criminal Code of Russia (rape of a victim under 14 years of age).
According to updated data, from January 2012 to September 2019, in a private house of the Khimozi settlement of Gatchinsky District of Leningrad Region, a 46-year-old man had been repeatedly subjecting to sexual violence his minor daughter born in 2006, unable to understand the meaning and nature of his actions due to her minor age.
As it was reported earlier, during initial investigative actions, items and digital storage devices of interest for the investigation were discovered and seized from the house of the suspect.
Apart from that, during an examination of the crime scene, investigators seized firearms, such as machine guns, pistols, ammunition, and much more. The seized items were referred for a forensic examination. At present, the Leningrad Regional Investigations Directorate of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation has launched criminal inquiries into illegal traffic of firearms and ammunition under Part 1 of Article 222 and Part 1 of Article 222.1 of the Criminal Code of Russia (illegal traffic of firearms).
Investigators of the Investigative Committee of Russia interrogated the suspect in detail about the circumstances of the offense and, with the assistance of a psychologist, questioned the victimized girl, her mother, and other family members and arranged a set of required forensic examinations.
The investigation will examine the living conditions of six children being brought up in the family and the causes and conditions that facilitated the offense. Along with that, the investigation will give a legal assessment of the actions of preventive authorities.
At present, the investigation is deciding upon a preventive measure for the suspect and pressing charges against him.
