Alexander Bastrykin puts under supervision of the Central Office of the Investigative Committee of Russia the progress of the inquiry into provision of medical aid to a Great Patriotic War veteran in Volgograd Region

The day mass media published information of violation of rights of a Great Patriotic War veteran at provision of medical services. According to media reports, on August 4 in Volgograd, the 94-year-old veteran was discharged from the hospital with an open suture after surgery. According to relatives, the man is in serious condition, and they are taking measures to re-hospitalize him. The Volgograd Regional Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia organized a procedural assessment into this matter.

The Chairman of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation Alexander Bastrykin, instructed the Central Office to supervise the conduct of verification measures on this fact and to make a procedural decision based on the results of the verification.
