Upon instruction of the Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia heads of a number of regional investigative departments will present reports on progress of investigation of probes and assessments into incidents with children in different places of Russia.

Thus, the Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the Republic of Crimea and Sevastopol is carrying out a procedural assessment of social networks information into beating of a disabled girl. The monitoring of Internet space revealed a video of a woman walking with a disabled child in a wheelchair down Repina Street of Sevastopol and treating the girl in a rude manner, using violence. Alexander Bastrykin requested a report on the progress of the assessment.

Also, in terms of a probe, the Novosibirsk Regional Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia is establishing circumstances of infliction of bodily injuries to boy by, as he said, a cohabitant of his mother. The investigator carried out questioning of the boy with participation of a teacher and a psychologist in order to establish the full situation; a forensic examination has been appointed to evaluate severity of the damage inflicted to his health. Causes and conditions that facilitated the incident are to be established. The intermediate results of the probe will be reported to the Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia.

Apart from that, the Bashkortostan Republican Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia is carrying out a pre-investigative assessment into a similar fact of domestic violence against two minor children in Ufa. Monitoring of social networks detected a video from video surveillance cameras of a residential building where a man uses violence against minor boy and girl. In terms of the inquiry the actions of the man will be given a relevant legal assessment. The head of the regional investigative department was instructed to report on circumstances of the incident to the head of the Investigative Committee of Russia.

Also, the egregious case that occurred with the child became the basis for the initiation of a criminal case by the Moscow Main Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia under the article on attempted murder of a minor. As previously reported, on the evening of August 4, 2021, a 2-year-old boy with injuries typical of falling from a height was found near a residential building located on Shumilova Street in Moscow. The child was hospitalized in a medical facility in a serious condition, where he is provided with relevant medical aid. It was established that the injuring of the child resulted from actions of his father. The set of investigative actions will be reported to the Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia.

The Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia instructed the heads of the investigative departments to carefully establish all circumstances, causes and conditions that facilitated illegal actions against children in terms of the probe. Alexander Bastrykin put their progress and results under supervision of the Central Office of the Investigative Committee of Russia.
