The Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia requested a report on the circumstances of child abandonment in Khabarovsk Territory

The Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia for Khabarovsk Territory and the Jewish Autonomous Region is conducting a procedural check on the signs of crimes under Article 125 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (abandonment of a minor in danger) and Article 156 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (failure to fulfill the duties of upbringing a minor).

According to investigators, on December 26, 2021 in the yard of an apartment building in the town of Amursk, the driver of the ambulance found a three-year-old boy who went outside without his outerwear. The child was taken to a medical facility. He was examined by doctors, his life and health were not in danger. Currently, investigators are establishing the circumstances under which the child left the apartment, as well as are interviewing witnesses to what happened.

The Chairman of Investigatory Committee instructed Dolgaliev E. G., head of Investigatory Department of Investigatory Committee of Russia for Khabarovsk Territory and Jewish Autonomous Region, to report on inspection activities conducted.

The progress and results of the inspection are under supervision of the Central Office of the agency.
