The Investigative Bodies of the Investigative Directorate of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for Tulskaya oblast launched a criminal case against a 64-year-old local resident based on the files of the regional Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia. He is suspected of committing a crime prescribed in Part 1, Article 30, Part 3, Article 33, paragraphs "a, h" Part 2, Article 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (preparation for the murder of two persons for hire).
According to investigators, in August 2022, the suspect had the intent to commit the murder of his 42-year-old stepson and his 31-year-old cohabitant, in order to seize property inherited by the stepson from the deceased mother, who was also the suspect's wife. To implement his plan, the mentioned man found a person who agreed to commit the murder for a reward of 1 million rubles. As an advance payment, the suspect handed over 50 thousand rubles to the man acting as the executor, as well as data on the persons against whom the crime must be committed. But the suppositional crime executor had already reported everything to law enforcement agencies.
On August 15, 2022, within the operational-search activities by the criminal investigation directorate of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs for Tulskaya oblast, a man, acting as the murder executier, met with the suspect in one of the Tula garage cooperatives, where he presented him with personal belongings of the victims as evidence of the crime committed. Mistakenly believing that the murder had already been committed, the susopect who ordered the crime handed over the remaining amount of money, and he immediately was stopped by the police afterwards.
Currently, investigative and procedural actions are being carried out in the criminal case, aimed at identifying all the circumstances of the crime and collecting evidence. The suspect was detained and confessed. In the near future, the investigator of the Investigative Committee will bring charges against him and submit a petition to the court to impose restrain as custody to him. The criminal investigation continues.
