The investigating bodies of the Russia’s Investigative Committee in Tomsk Region have opened a criminal case against a resident of the closed town of Seversk suspected of a crime under part 1 of article 282 of the RF Penal Code (incitement of hatred or enmity, as well as humiliation of human dignity).

According to investigators, in the period between June 2012 and September 2013, the resident of the closed town of Seversk used his personal computer to post in the VKontakte social network videos containing information intended to incite hatred or enmity as well as humiliation of human dignity over nationality, language, origin and attitude to religion. The unlimited number of people had access to these files.

During the search in his flat, the investigators have found and seized material evidence proving the man’s involvement in the crime. The investigation is ongoing.
