North Caucasus Federal District Main Investigations Directorate takes into proceeding criminal case over murder of deputy prosecutor of Promyshlenny district in Vladikavkaz

The North Caucasus Federal District Main Investigations Directorate of the Russia’s Investigative Committee has taken into its proceeding the criminal case over the murder of deputy prosecutor of Promyshlenny district of the city of Vladikavkaz opened into signs of the crime under part 1 of article 105 of the RF Penal Code (murder) and part 1 of article 222 (illegal circulation of firearms).

It has been reported earlier that on 23 October 2013, about 7:30 PM, an unidentified man gunned down the deputy prosecutor of Promyshlenny district in the courtyard of a block of flats in Ardonskaya Street in Vladikavkaz and then fled the scene. As a result of his wounds the victim died on the spot.

At present necessary search and investigating operations are underway to find all the circumstances of the crime and to hold the people involved. In addition, the investigators are seizing video and photo images from the CCTV cameras, which could record the face of the killer. Witnesses and eyewitnesses are being questioned. Medical, ballistics, forensic medical, DNA examinations have been fixed over the objects seized during the investigation. The investigation is ongoing.
