Director of children and youth sport school in Mordovia found guilty of fraud and forgery

The court has found the evidence gathered by the investigating bodes of the Russia’s Investigative Committee in the Republic of Mordovia sufficient to convict the 52-year-old director of Temnikovsky children and youth sport school. He was found guilty of crimes under part 3 of article 159 of the RF Penal Code, part 3 of article 30, part 3 of article 159 (swindling and attempted swindling by a person using their official position) and part 1 of article 292 (forgery).

The investigators and the court have found that in October 2011, the director of the school with the intention to making illegal money in addition to his official wages issued an order making himself a football team coach and his deputy – a volleyball coach. There were no trainings in those sport clubs, but the false information on alleged working hours were put in the timeboard. Based on these documents, the director and his deputy illegally received a monthly additional payment to their wages and the deputy gave her part to the director. This way they had stolen from the budget of the municipal district over 70 thousand rubles, which the accused spent on his own needs.

The court sentenced the man to a suspended 2-year prison term and a fine of 20 thousand rubles.
