The Head of the Investigations Directorate of the Russia’s Investigative Committee in Bryansk Region has launched a criminal case against 63-year-old deputy of Bryansk Region Duma Yuri Petrukhin. He is suspected of the crime under part 6 of article 264 of the RF Penal Code (violation of traffic regulations entailing through negligence death of two people, committed by an intoxicated person).

According to investigators, on 23 October 2013, about 9:10 PM, Petrukhin was driving his VOLKSWAGEN TOUAREG, with state registration number Е 001 КH 32 RUS while being drunk. On 23^rd km of the motorway Bryank – Dyatkovo he got on the wrong side and collided with a VAZ- 21061. As a result of the accident a 19-year-old driver of the VAZ and his 47-year-old mother died. The second passenger the 51-year-old head of the family was delivered to hospital with serious injuries.

At present investigating operations are underway to find all the circumstances of the crime. The investigation is ongoing.
