September 11, 2013, Chairman of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation Alexander Bastrykin held an interagency coordination meeting with representatives of the Main Investigations Directorate of the North Caucasus Federal District, Ministry of the Interior of the Republic of North Ossetia - Alania and Regional branch of FSB of Russia in Vladikavkaz, Republic of North Ossetia - Alania.
The meeting heard progress and results of the investigation of criminal cases, connected in a single proceeding, over a series of murders committed in the Republic: November 25, 2012 – murder of Taimur Kadzaev and attempted murder of Zaira Savhalova (Part 1 of Art. 105 of the Criminal Code , Part 3 of Art. 30 , paragraph "a" of Part 2 of Art. 105 of the Criminal Code), May 19, 2013 – murder of Valery Laliev (Part 1 of Article 105 of the Criminal Code), June 12, 2013 – murder of Alan Torchinov (Part 1 of Article 105 of the Criminal Code), and June 13, 2013 – murders of Aslan Viktorovich Torchinov and Albeg Plaev and attempted murders of Aslan Gennadievich Torchinov and Tamerlan Torchinov committed with the utmost impudence and cynicism at the funeral of a relative who had been killed earlier (Part 1 of Art. 105 of the Criminal Code, Part 3 of Article 30, Part 2 of Article 105 of the Criminal Code).
During the joint work of law enforcement agencies, two organized criminal groups operating in the territory of the republic and committing above-mentioned crimes were established.
The meeting analyzed the evidence gathered by investigators. Based on it, the Main Investigations Directorate of the Investigative Committee of Russia in the North Caucasus Federal District launched a criminal case over the crime under Article 210 of the Criminal Code (organization of criminal community (criminal organization), or participation in it as the organizer and leader, as well as members of the criminal community, which committed serious crimes).
At present, the Main Investigations Directorate of the Investigative Committee of Russia in the North Caucasus Federal District is carrying out the necessary investigative actions aimed at establishing all the circumstances of the crime and bringing perpetrators of these acts to justice.
