Participant of 1995 attack on Budyonnovsk found guilty of series of especially serious crimes in Stavropol Territory

In addition, Khabayev, intending to avoid prosecution for the crimes, illegally received a passport of citizen of the Russian Federation and a foreign passport of citizen of the Russian Federation under the fake name and many times illegally crossed the border of the Russian Federation trying to hide from law enforcement. On 6 May 2011, he was detained by law enforcement agents.

The court sentenced Khabayev to 14 years in a minimum security penal colony.
