The court has found the evidence gathered by the Central Federal District Investigations Directorate of the Russia’s Investigative Committee to convict director of the office of special partnership Social Initiative and Company Viktor Gulyayev and head of architectural and construction surveillance of Tambov’s mayor’s office Olga Letunovskaya. Gulyayev was found guilty of embezzlement (part 3 of article 160 of the RF Penal Code) and Letunovskaya – of organizing the crime (part 3 of article 33, part 3 of article 160 of the RF Penal Code).

This crime was revealed during investigation of a criminal case against leadership of partnership Social Initiative and Company.

The court and investigation have found that Letunovskaya and Gulyayev conspired to steal another’s property and in 2000-2003 organized a series of fictitious documents on design for the abovementioned partnership. In reality the money paid for a three-room flat in a block of flat constructed by the partnership Social Initiative and Company and later Letunovskaya registered ownership right on the flat. This way Gulyayev embezzled over 1 million rubles in the interests of Letunovskaya.

Gulyayev received a 2.5 years suspended prison sentence with 3 years on probation, Letunovskaya was sentenced to a 2 years suspended prison term with 3 years on probation.
