May 9, 2014, Deputy Chief and the staff of the Tambov Region Investigations Directorate of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation took part in the commemorations of the Day of Victory in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945, which began with laying wreaths at the monument to the Hero of the Soviet Union Zoya Kosmodemyanskaya, and then a ceremonial procession headed towards the Cathedral Square to the memorial "Eternal Flame», where a festive rally took place.

Next the procession went to the monument "Tambov farmer ", where flowers and wreaths were laid. The ceremonial march ended with a rally and the laying of wreaths at the memorial of Fame to fellow townsmen who had died during the Great Patriotic War at the Vozdvizhenskoye cemetery.
