In Stavropol Territory students of M. Yadrov cadet classes under auspices of Russian Investigative Committee took part in patriotic events dedicated to 69th anniversary of Victory

Students of cadet classes under the auspices of the Russian Investigative Committee named after Lieutenant-General Mikhail Georgiyevich Yadrov took part in patriotic activities held in the town of Mikhaylovsk, Shpakovsky District, Stavropol Territory and dedicated to the 69th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War on May 6, 2014.

As part of the program, cadets attended a prayer service of blessing the Cross for the foundation of the Church of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker and the Orthodox Spiritual and Educational Center "Admiral". At the end of the event, students of cadet classes laid flowers at the monument to Admiral Ugryumov German Alexeyevich - Hero of the Russian Federation and the outstanding figure of the state security agencies of Russia, which had been opened in October 2013 with the participation of the Chairman of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation Alexander Bastrykin.

After the ceremony of laying the foundation stone of the Saint Nicholas Church, a building of the Orthodox Spiritual and Educational Center "Admiral" and the opening of the Orthodox St. Nicholas (Svyato-Nikolsky) Kindergarten, cadets congratulated war veterans on the upcoming holiday.

Students also met with home front worker and veteran of investigating authorities Sedrak Tumasyan. The veteran told cadets about his life, about choosing a profession, about the features of investigative actions and high-profile crimes he had investigated.

Sedrak Petrosovich Tumasyan (born on October 25, 1929) was a 12-year-old boy when the war began, and, together with his peers, he was growing grains in the fields for four long years replacing fathers who were fighting at the front. After the war, Sedrak Petrosovich Tumasyan served in the Armed Forces, then he earned a law degree and from 1962 to 1993 he worked in law enforcement agencies as an investigator and in other positions. Sedrak Petrosovich Tumasyan is 83 years old, but he remains on duty and is willing to share his experience with young investigators and those who only dream of investigative work. At the end of the meeting, students of cadet classes presented gifts to the home front worker and congratulated him on the upcoming holiday.
