In Moscow Region, media reports on light plane crash landing in Yaroslavl highway checked

The Moscow Interregional Transport Investigations Directorate of the Russia’s Investigative Committee has launched a check into crimes under article 263 of the RF Penal Code (violation of safety standards for traffic and operation of the aircraft, involving considerable damage by negligence) and article 238 (carrying out unsafe work or providing unsafe services).

On 23 January 2016, mass media published reports that a light plane with only a pilot aboard made a hard landing on Yaroslavl highway.

At present investigators are carrying out the check to find out all the details of and reasons for the incident. A procedural decision is to be made following the check.
