On 23 January 2016, it was reported to the police that four dead bodies with gunshot wounds were found in a single-family house in the town of Artyomovsk. The Krasnoyarsk Territory investigating bodies of the Russia’s Investigative Committee opened an investigation in a crime under part 2 of article 105 of the RF Penal Code (murder).

According to preliminary version, a woman came to the house on 23 January 2016 to find dead bodies of her 39-year-old son, his 38-year-old wife and their children aged 17 and 9. According to her, the man had had some money troubles and had considered a suicide. He might have shot his sleeping family and then killed himself.

Ballistic, DNA and forensic medical tests have been assigned. The investigation is ongoing.
