The Russia's I.C. employees read the poem "Motherland" in memory of heroes of the Great Patriotic War

In Russia we have been always proud of our great story the events of which were always interpreted unambiguously. And now we see attempts of foreign politicians to distort obvious facts, implant doubts in minds of the younger generation of relatively simple truths, we observe the way foreign policy achieves the foreground and it is very advantageous for someone to tune to other's nonentities. But the state which forgets its history can't have future. Therefore today it is particularly important to remind everyone again of the heroic feat which our ancestors accompished having won in distant 1945. We are grateful to those ones who defended freedom and independence of our Motherland at the expense of their lives.

The war took million of lives, affected almost each family, each home in someway or other. All the Soviet people labored day and night, approaching victory over the enemy and peace. Following their example, a lot of people embrace profession of service in the Investigative committee of Russia, having arisen for protection of rights of our citizens, having decided to fight against crime and restore justice during peacetime, making their contribution to protection of the Motherland.

On the threshold 71st anniversary of Victory in the 1941-1945 Great Patriotic War, expressing their deepest respect and gratitude to our veterans, experiencing vast pride and love to our country, the employees of the Russia's I.C. have read the well-known poem of Konstantin Simonov "Motherland".

Representatives of the committee from different regions of Russia took part In this patriotic action: from Moscow to Saint Petersburg, from Volgograd to Smolensk, from Ekaterinburg to Krasnoyarsk, Sevastopol, from Kaliningrad to Grozny, from Khabarovsk to Petropavlovsk-Kamchatski. Behind the back of each our employee there are history highlights, parts of Motherland whether it be the fields of the Stalingrad battles where now the Volgograd monument "Mother Motherland" is situated, the cape of Poore-Navolok in Arkhangelsk or the mountains and a tower in village Kharachoy of the Chechen Republic. Every heart knows its own small Motherlans, but all these places remind us of large, proud and powerful Russia.

Thanks to help of the All-russian State TV and Radio Broadcasting Company the campaign has resulted in video combining not only lines of the poem, but parts of our endless country as well. Notwithstanding a change of generations, we have heritage of our patriotism and military art in our blood: movies, poems, or prose will always remind of our story, our sorrow, and pride, our love to the Fatherland.

We devote this congratulation to veterans of the Great Patriotic War, memory of everyone who sacrificed their lives, fighting for the Motherland, for the three birches in the native land about which it is written in immortal lines:

"Yes, dear friend, we live in heat and frost and thunder.

Yes, we can starve and feel the greatest pain

And even go to death. But birches to surrender

We can’t… We want them all forever to remain".
