In the afternoon of 4 June 2016, dead bodies of two women aged 35 and 33 years, a man aged 32 and a girl aged 4 years with sings of violent death were found on a fire scene in Uritskogo street in the town of Chistopol. The Tatarstan Office of the Investigative Committee has opened a criminal investigation into a crime under Part 2, items “a” and “c” of Article 105 of the RF Penal Code (murder of two or more people, including a minor).

According to investigators, before the fire, a woman with her daughter came to visit the owner of the house and her boyfriend and decided to stay overnight. Next day, the neighbors saw that the house was on fire and called firefighters. According to a preliminary version, the victims had died of stab wounds.

At present the investigators are examining the crime scene, identifying and questioning witnesses and eye-witnesses. They are assigning necessary forensic tests: medical, biological, DNA, trace and fire ones. Investigative and search operations are underway to identify the ones involved in the crime. All the details of the crime will be found out. The investigation is ongoing.
