In Moscow, official and CEO of commercial firm suspected of bribery put in custody

The Moscow Directorate of the Investigative Committee is conducting an investigation against CEO of OOO Medolina-M Ilya Ustinov and deputy director of the Academician Veltishchev Research Clinical Institute of Pediatrics of the Pirogov Russian National Medical Research University Timur Artyomov. Depending on the role of each one they are suspected of crimes under Part 6 of Article 290 of the RF Penal Code (taking a bribe on a very large scale) and Part 4 of Article 291.1 (mediation in bribery on a very large scale).

According to Investigators, On 6 June 2016, at about 4:40 PM, Ilya Ustinov acting as a mediator got a cash bribe of 2.5 million rubles from a representative of a commercial firm in his car parked near one of office buildings in Korovinskoye highway in Moscow. The said money was intended to be passed on to Timur Artyomov for arranging the signature of a goods acceptance certificate under a governmental contract. The accomplices were detained while passing on the money.

At present the suspects have been placed in custody pending trial and the charges are expected. A set of investigative operations are under way to find out all the details of the crime. The investigation is continued.
