A court has recognized the evidence collected by the Krasnoyarsk Territory Office of the Investigative Committee sufficient to convict the chief engineer of the technical control office of OAO ANPZ VNK Oleg Dumchev and operator of processing stations of 6^th category of section 400 of processing station LK-6Us of workshop No 1 of the same factory Yuri Vdovenko. They were found guilty of a crime under Part 3 of Article 217 of the RF Penal Code (breach of safety at a highly explosive facility entailing death of 8 people by negligence).

The court and investigators have revealed that On 15 June 2014, at 11:56 PM, at OAO Achinsk oil refiner of the Eastern oil company there was a hydrocarbon explosion at a gas plant (a spacious open space with a lot of pipes) followed by a fire that engulfed 400 square meters and killed 8 people.

The court has sentenced Dumchev and Vdovenko to 2.5 years in prison. They have been released under amnesty.
