The Nizhny Novgorod Office of the Investigative Committee continues investigating a case against CEO of OOO Master grupp charged with a crime under Part 2 of Article 238 of the RF Penal Code (provision of services that do not meet safety standards and entailed death of a person by negligence).

The accused concluded a contract on making a fireworks with musical accompaniment at Khimik stadium in the town of Dzerzhinsk, Nizhny Novgorod Region.

At 11 PM, 28 May 2016, during the fireworks metallic constructions that held mortars in place were destroyed and deformed making the mortars shift from the vertical position and the 4^th-class danger projectile to change its trajectory into the direction of the crowd of onlookers. The projectile killed a 65-year-old woman and injured 10 more spectators who suffered burns.

At present the CEO of OOO Master grupp has been placed under house arrest pending trial. The investigation is ongoing.
