In Moscow Region criminal investigation opened into fire in private house

The Moscow Region investigative authorities of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation initiated an investigation on signs of crime under Part 3 of Article 238 of the RF Penal Code (fulfillment of works or rendering of services which do not meet safety standards that have entailed by negligence the death of two or more persons).

According to investigators, during the night of 30 July 2016 a fire broke out in a private house in the village of Nemchinovka Odintsovo district. When the fire was extinguished, 4 people were found dead: a man (born in 1951), a woman (born in 1953) and two girls (born in 2007 and 2009). No signs of violent deaths were present.

Preliminary version of the fire break-out is faulty electric wiring.

At the moment, investigative and procedural activities are being performed to identify all the circumstances of the case.
