A federal TV channel has broadcast a story about unauthorized dumps in Moscow Region and pollution of the environment by both commercial organizations that create those dumps, and by local residents as well. In addition, the story went on saying that authorities were doing nothing though Lake Glushitsa in Zhukovsky District is filled with waste and garbage.

Chairman of the Investigative Committee Alexander Bastrykin has ordered the Moscow Region Directorate of the Investigative Committee to run a check in the media report and assess the damage done to the environment as well as the actions (omission) of officials and businesses who create or turn a blind eye to unauthorized dumps.
