Under instruction of Alexander Bastrykin, experienced forensic experts of Central Office of Investigative Committee sent to investigate double murder in Moscow

Under an instruction of Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia Alexander Bastrykin, experienced forensic investigators of the Main Forensics Directorate (Forensics Centre) of the Investigative Committee of Russia were sent to provide practical assistance in investigating a double murder in Moscow.

As it was reported earlier, in the evening of November 7, 2018, in an apartment of a residential building on Sofia Kovalevskaya Street in Moscow, bodies of a woman born in 1983 and her son born in 2006 had been found with signs of a violent death.

With reference to that, the Moscow Main Investigations Directorate of the Investigative Committee of Russia launched a probe under Part 2 of Article 105 of the Criminal Code of Russia (murder of two or more persons). The Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia instructed forensic experts and investigators to collect and record sufficient evidence, confirming the involvement of specific individuals in the offence, to establish the motives for the murder and all of its circumstances.
