Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia instructs to supervise probes into violation of rights of citizens among orphan children for receiving housing in Krasnoyarsk Territory and Lipetsk Region

A federal TV channel reported several cases of violations of the rights of citizens from the category of orphans to receive housing under the law. In particular, journalists described cases of poor quality housing provided to graduates of orphanages in the Bolshaya Murta settlement of Krasnoyarsk Territory, as well as in the Yekaterinovka settlement and the town of Dankov in Lipetsk Region. The Regional Investigations Directorates of Investigative Committee of Russia have immediately organized pre-investigation probes upon these facts.

The Chairman of the Investigative Committee has instructed the management of the Krasnoyarsk and Lipetsk Regional Investigations Directorates to thoroughly study the arguments voiced in the story, to establish all the circumstances of what happened, and to give a proper legal assessment of the actions (inaction) of the officials responsible for the housing rights of orphans.
