Alexander Bastrykin requests a report on cases of injuring of children as a result of being hit by electric scooters in St. Petersburg

The St. Petersburg Main Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia launched a probe under Part 1 of Article 118 of the Criminal Code of Russia (infliction of severe health damage by negligence) into a fact of injuring of a 4-year-old child in a park of Kolpinsky district of the city. In the evening of June 1 a young man on an electric scooter collided with a 4-year-old boy who was riding a children's scooter. The boy was injured and is currently in a hospital.

Apart from that, investigative bodies are examining circumstances of injuring of a minor girl and another 4-year-old child in Nevsky and Moscow districts. At present investigator have initiated transfer of materials from police units.

Alexander Bastrykin instructed to report about these incidents and establish all circumstances in terms of investigation of the probes. The Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia instructed the acting head of the St. Petersburg Main Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia to request materials from territorial departments to the St. Petersburg Main Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia for further investigation.
