Every year on October 1, officers of the regional investigative departments of the Investigative Committee of Russia congratulate elderly people on the International Day of the Elderly.
On this wonderful autumn day, we want to pay attention to those who gave us a bright future, those who are left without relatives and live in social institutions - they, like no one else, need care and emotional communication.
This day is another reason to address with words of gratitude to the elderly, veterans of the Great Patriotic War, labor veterans who made a great contribution to the development of our country and provided an opportunity to live in peace.
In the Novosibirsk Region, employees of the Investigation Department congratulated the widow of the Hero of the Soviet Union, Ekaterina Mikhailovna Bakurova, on the holiday and thanked her for the work in perpetuating the memory of her husband Dmitry Alekseevich Bakurov. He went to the front as a 19-year-old young man, in the ranks of the Red Army he participated in the major events of the Great Patriotic War - the Battle of Kursk, the forcing of the Desna, Dnieper, Pripyat, the liberation of Belarus, Poland, Czechoslovakia. Dmitry Alekseevich was awarded the most honorable military orders and medals for courage and heroism in the fight against the German fascist invaders. By the decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR of October 16, 1943, he was awarded the title of Hero of the Soviet Union.
On behalf of the Chairman of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation, Alexander Ivanovich Bastrykin, on February 7, 2019, Dmitry Alekseevich was also awarded a medal "Valor and Courage". Unfortunately, in April 2019, the Hero of the Soviet Union passed away. Investigators continue to take care of his widow and visit her on memorable and holiday dates.
In the Arkhangelsk Region, Nikolai Valentinovich Artemyev, an officer of the Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia, presented the veteran of the investigative bodies with a valuable gift, which Alexander Maksimovich Kroshenitsyn was awarded on behalf of the Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia.
