Verdict in Criminal Case on Kidnapping of Former General Director of EkoVoz Group Passed in Samara Oblast

The Samara Oblast Court found the evidence collected by the Main Investigative Department of the Russian IC sufficient to convict Alexander Braev, Sergey Stenkin, Roman Zinin, and Evgeny Egorov. They were found guilty of committing crimes under Part 2 of Article 210, Part 2 of Article 209, Paragraph A of Part 3 of Article 126 of the Criminal Code (participation in a criminal organization, a stable armed group (gang), and kidnapping).

The investigators and the court established that in the period from April to September 2012, Braev, Stenkin, Zinin, and Egorov, being members of Sergey Neverov's criminal gang, together with other persons, due to a conflict between the criminal organization members and the director of EkoVoz Group Alexander Dushkov, which was related to commercial activities, carried out surveillance on him and collected information about his movement routes. In September 2012, in the city of Tolyatti, Sergey Stenkin, Roman Zinin, and Evgeny Egorov kidnapped Dushkov and took him to a deserted place in Samara Oblast, where they handed him over to other accomplices of the crime who then committed his murder.

By the court verdict, Braev, Stenkin, Zinin, and Egorov were sentenced from 5 to 16 years of imprisonment in a maximum security penal colony.
