In the city of St. Petersburg, a man has been sentenced to long-term imprisonment for committing crimes of a sexual nature against children

The evidence collected by the investigative authorities of the Main Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia for St. Petersburg has been deemed sufficient by the court to convict a local resident. He has been found guilty of committing violent acts of sexual nature against persons under the age of fourteen (clause "b" of Part 5 of Article 132 of the Criminal Code of the RF), inducing two minors to use narcotic drugs (clause "a" of Part 3 of Article 230 of the Criminal Code of the RF), illegal sale of narcotic drugs (clause "v" of Part 4 of Article 228.1), and using a minor under the age of fourteen for the purpose of producing pornographic materials (clause "v" of Part 2 of Article 242.2 of the Criminal Code of the RF).

The investigation and the court established that in February 2023, in one of the office premises in the Vyborgsky District, the man induced two girls, aged 10 and 11, to use drugs, after which he committed crimes against their sexual integrity. The perpetrator filmed his actions against one of the victims on his mobile phone.

The court sentenced him to 17 years of imprisonment in a maximum-security correctional colony, with the deprivation of the right to engage in activities related to working with minors for 15 years.
