Social media reported the kidnapping of a 56-year-old businessman in the center of Moscow. The Main Investigation Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia in Moscow is investigating a criminal case against four accomplices aged 21 to 36 years in connection with this matter. They are accused of kidnapping (Part 3 of Article 126 of the Criminal Code of the RF).

According to the investigation, on June 28, 2024, the suspects, positioned near a residential building on Sadovaya-Triumfalnaya Street in Moscow, acting as part of an organized group, attacked a citizen of the Italian Republic who also holds Russian citizenship, using a pistol. Using violence, they forced him into a car, where they handcuffed him and put a bag over his head. The accused then drove to the city of Bryansk, where they detained the victim in a pre-prepared location for a day.

The Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia instructed the head of the Main Investigation Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia in Moscow, A.A. Strizhov, to report on the results of the initial investigative actions in this criminal case. The execution of the order has been placed under control of the central office of the department.
