On July 4, 2024, in the city of Belovo, a collapse of floors and a wall occurred in the City Palace of Creativity for Children and Youth. In connection with this incident, the Investigation Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the Kemerovo Region – Kuzbass initiated criminal cases under Part 1 of Article 238 of the Criminal Code of the RF (provision of services not meeting safety requirements for life or health of consumers) and Part 1 of Article 293 of the Criminal Code of the RF (negligence).

Preliminary findings have established that the collapse occurred from the first to the fourth floor of the building, and the visitors were evacuated in a timely manner.

The Chairman of the Investigative Committee has requested a report from Acting Head of the Investigation Department for the Kemerovo Region – Kuzbass, A.M. Kustov, on the progress of the criminal investigations and the established circumstances.
