One more person brought to charges in case of mass riots on Bolotnaya Ploshchad

Main Investigations Directorate of Russia’s Investigative Committee within the framework of a criminal case over mass riots on Bolotnaya Ploshchad in Moscow has brought charges against Leonid Kovyazin. He is charged with a crime under part 2 of article 212 of the Russian Federation Criminal Code (participation in mass riots).

According to investigators, Kovyazin together with other people turned over composting toilets, made barricades of them to prevent participants of the mass event and the police from moving along the street. The charges against Kovyazin are based on indisputable evidence of his involvement in the crime. Namely there are video records at the desposition of the investigators and testimonies of witnesses.

In the near future investigators are going to petition detainment in custody for Kovyazin.
