The court recognized the evidence gathered by the investigating authorities of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for the Altai Territory sufficient to convict an anesthesiologist -resuscitator of the Belokurikha Central Hospital. He was found guilty of committing an offense under Part 2 of Article 109 of the RF Criminal Code (causing death by negligence due to improper execution of professional duties).

Investigators and the court found that in October 2012 during vein catheterization of a newborn baby the defendant violated the manipulation technology. As a result the puncture needle damaged vital organs that led to the development of the stress response and pain shock in the newborn. Substandard medical care caused the death of the child.

The court sentenced him to 1.5 years of freedom limitations with disqualification to hold positions related to the medical practice for a period of 1.5 years.
