Investigating authorities of the Main Investigation Department of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for the city of St. Petersburg charged 36 -year-old Mikhail Surin with an offense under Part 4 of Article 159 of the RF Criminal Code (fraud on a large scale).

According to investigators, from February 2011 to October 2012, together with unknown accomplices, under the fraudulent pretext of financing the construction of a refinery in the Voronezh region, he received more than 329 million rubles from the player of FC "Zenit" Alexander Kerzhakov. The criminals disposed that money at their discretion.

The court remanded Surin in custody. The criminal investigation is ongoing.
