September 12, 2013, a working meeting between the Chairman of the Investigative Committee Alexander Bastrykin and the Prosecutor General of the Republic of Poland Andrzej Seremet was held at the Investigation Committee of the Russian Federation.

Heads of departments discussed the issues of cooperation between Russia’s Investigative Committee and the competent authorities of Poland in the investigation of criminal cases on the crash of Polish Tu- 154M in Smolensk on April 10, 2010.

The two sides exchanged the updated information on the progress in the investigation and international legal assistance in these cases, and discussed general issues of cooperation between the Investigative Committee of Russia and Prosecuting bodies of Poland.
