On the eve of the 69th anniversary of the Victory, employees of the Elista Investigations Department of the Kalmykia Investigations Directorate of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation congratulated a Great Patriotic War veteran Pyotr Leontyevich Leontyev on a great holiday and organized his visit to the memorial "Eternal Flame".

Pyotr Leontyevich Leontyev was called up to the front in the age of 17 in August 1943. He participated in the battles at the 1st Baltic and the 1st Byelorussian Fronts; he was a member of the operation "Bagration". He met the end of the war in the mountainous area near Berlin in the rank of a sergeant, was awarded the Order of "Great Patriotic War" and military decorations.

Employees of the Elista Investigations Department of the Kalmykia Investigations Directorate of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation express deep gratitude to veterans of the Great Patriotic War and wish them good health and longevity.
