Four more suspects of mass scuffle at Mineralnye Vody hospital detained

The Stavropol Territory investigating bodies of the Russia’s Investigative Committee during the investigation in mass brawl at a hospital in the town of Mineralnye Vody as a crime under part 2 of article 213 of the RF Penal Code (hooliganism) and paragraph “a” of part 3 of article 111 (deliberate infliction of grievous bodily harm) are taking measures to find out the circumstances of the crime, identify all the persons involved in the conflict and role of each of them in it.

According to investigators in the evening of 20 September 2014, several men got drunk and fought in Yevgenia café in the town of Mineralnye Vody. During the fight two suspects Andranik Tsakanyan and Yevgeny Smirnov hit one of the men on his head with a bottle by turn. The injured young man Roman Savechenko and his friends Anatoly Larionov and Ruslan Abdulzhalilov went to a hospital for help. Sometime later Tsakanyan also headed for the hospital and broke into it with a group of about 30 people. In the corridor they brutally beat Anatoly Larionov and injured Ruslan Abdulzhalilov and a nurse Nina Stanka.

Four more suspects – 29-year-old Rafael Babayan, 23-year-old Arsen Arustamyan, 20-year-old Magomed Gazimagomedov and 26-year-old Nikolai Voronov have been held by the investigators. According to the investigators all of them together with Andranik Tsakanyan and others broke into the hospital in Mineralnye Vody. The investigators have filed a request with a court to place all of them in custody.

Three more of the hooligans are wanted. measures are being taken to detain them and bring in for investigation.

This way, as of today, there are 28 suspects, 21 of whom have been detained (Andranik Tskanyan, Yevgeny Smirnov, Samvel Manucharyan, Maxim Tsakanyan, Artyom Voronov, Zaman Babayev, Akhmet Mutayev, Grant Akopyan, Vladimir Tsakanyan, Pavel Delyanidi, Armen Osipyan, Ivan Zheranov, Robert Arustamyan, Khachik Arutyunyan, Arman Akopyan, Rafael Babayan, Arsen Arustamyan, Magomed Gazimagomedov, Nikolai Voronov and a 17-year-old teenager), the rest seven of them are wanted.

The investigation is ongoing and supervised by S.V. Dubrovin, Head of the Stavropol Territory Investigations Directorate of the Russia’s Investigative Committee personally. The investigators are taking all possible measures to bring to justice all the people involved in that conspicuous and brutal crime.
