In Saint-Petersburg criminal cases opened in frauds committed by More solntsa and Versa travel agencies

Saint-Petersburg Main Investigations Directorate of the Russia’s Investigative Committee has launched criminal cases over frauds committed by OOO Moreso (More solntsa) and OOO Versa travel agencies as crimes under part 4 of article 159 of the RF Penal Code. There is also an ongoing investigation in frauds committed by employees of OOO Solveks-Turne, OOO Expo-Tour, OOO Nordic Star, OOO Veter stranstvy, ZAO Firma Neva, OOO Atlas Travel, ZAO Atlas (parts 3 and 4 of article 159).

According to investigators, in August-September 2014, employees of the said companies having no intentions to meet their obligations under the agreements signed with citizens on travel services stole money from their clients. There are thousands of victims, with damage standing at hundreds of million rubles.

At present CEOs of Solveks-Turne, Atlas and Expo-Tour are under house arrest, CEO of Nordic Star, Veter Stranstvy and Atlas Travel are wanted. The investigators are taking measures to identify employees of other travel agencies that damaged dozens of thousands clients.

The crime scene have been examined, accounting documents and statutes, agreements, computers have been confiscated, accounts of the companies are being arrested, forensic expert examinations have been fixed, and other operations are underway to find out all the circumstances of the crime and identify all those involved in the fraud depriving people of holidays.

The investigations are ongoing.
