In North Ossetia-Alania armament of Aslan Gagiyev’s gang seized during searches

The North Caucasian Federal District Main Investigations Directorate of the Russia’s Investigative Committee continues investigating a criminal case against members of a criminal community (organization) headed by Aslan Gagiyev, who committed over 40 murders, attempts on lives of law enforcement officials, attempted murders.

During searches in a household in the village of Khumalag, Pravoberezhny District, North Ossetia-Alania, investigators found and confiscated 2 9mm Makarov pistols, a silencer to a Makarov pistol and four cartridges.

In addition, during the search in a household in the village of Zilgi, ravoberezhny District, North Ossetia-Alania, the investigators discovered a cache of ammunition. Three plastic barrels were buried in the earth containing: 8 Kalashnikov assault rifles, 1 submachine gun Kedr, 1 submachine gun Borz, 1 TT pistol with a silencer, 9 silencers, 18 cartridges to Kalashnikov assault rifle, 2 cartridges to Kalashnikov automatic rifle, 8 grenades, 8 fuses; 1 200 gr TNT stick, over 4,000 pieces of ammunition of different calibers to different firearms.

The confiscated ammunition and guns were armaments of Gagiyev’s gang, which over 10 years had committed contract murders in Russia.

Earlier under the same investigation, the investigators had confiscated over 100 guns, 75 different grenades and over 40 thousand items of ammunition of different calibers.

At present necessary investigative operations are underway to find out all the circumstances of the crimes and prosecute the guilty ones.
