In Crimea captain of power boat to stand trial for reckless homicide of member of Russian Federation Council

Crimean Transportation Investigations Department of the Crimea Main Investigations Directorate has finished investigating a criminal case against Aleksey Dudka, 34. He is charged with a crime under part 1 of article 109 of the RF Penal Code (reckless homicide).

According to investigators, in the afternoon of 1 August 2014, in the town of Alushta the accused was sailing a boat along the coastline in the Black Sea, where he ran over a swimming man, who then died of injuries. The killed man was Vladimir Kulakov, member of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly from Magadan Region.

The investigators have gathered enough evidence, so the criminal case with the approved indictment has been sent to court to be tried on the merits.
