In Khabarovsk Territory criminal investigation opened in outbreak of enteric infection

Khabarovsk Territory investigating bodies of the Russia’s Investigative Committee have launched a criminal investigation in an outbreak of enteric infection – a crime under part 1 of article 238 of the RF Penal Code (providing services not meeting life or health safety standards).

According to investigators, in April 2015, an outbreak of an enteric infection was registered in the village of Zavety Ilyicha. 19 people sought medical aid. According to preliminary information, the cause of the infection might have been water from the water supply system. A state of emergency was declared in the village. The residents are recommended against drinking raw water. Water is being provided for the residents.

At present investigative operations are underway to find out all the circumstances of the crime. The investigation is ongoing.
