Moscow investigating bodies of the Russia’s Investigative Committee continue investigating a criminal case over a crime under article 317 of the RF Penal Code (an attempt on the life of a police officer), following a murder of a police officer of Southern Administrative District Office of the Interior Ministry.

It has been reported earlier, that on 27 May 2015, about 3 AM, police officers were chasing a Gazel vehicle presumably with a criminal inside. The vehicle was stopped by police cars on the 24^th km of the Moscow Ring Road (MKAD). The presumed criminal left the vehicle and fled into the woods. One of the police officers chasing the man was stabbed at least thrice and died at the scene.

The suspect of the murder was identified and detained in the shortest possible time thanks to coherent operation of investigators of the Moscow Main Investigations Directorate and officers of the Interior Ministry. It is a 25-yuear-old man.

Today the man has been charged with the crime and remanded in custody pending trial following a request filed by the investigators. The investigation is ongoing.
